IUI Cost - Philippines

IUI is expensive. You have to prepare your finances and have a game plan about it. As I've shared in my other post, we used our money from our 13th month pay to pay for the IUI.

Below is a breakdown of our expenses starting from before our IUI cycle even started. In my previous post I mentioned that I haven't had my period for 82 days so my OB prescribed a medicine to jumpstart it, and we'll start from there.

Duphaston - 65/piece x 10 - 650
Follicle monitoring - 1,000/ultrasound x 3 - 3,000
Clomiphene* - 100/piece x 10 - 1,000
Gonal-F - 3,000/shot x 3 - 9,000
HCG Trigger - 3,000/shot x 1 - 3,000
IUI Procedure** - 9,629.76
Professional fee*** - 5,000
Utrogestan - 62/capsule x 15 - 930
Total: 32, 209.76

*This is the generic name. I can't remember the brand I bought, but this was the cheapest in Mercury Cubao at that time, the other one was around 200+
**Our IUI procedure was done in St. Lukes QC in their Advanced Reproductive Care Unit (ARCU)
***Our OB/RE's clinic at St. Lukes QC and her name is Lorelyn Madamba

  2. Hi Catherine! Sadly our IUI failed. :( On hindsight, maybe we should've had another ultrasound to check if I did ovulate. Or maybe used OPKs to confirm ovulation before doing the IUI.

    1. Di naman masakit yung mismong procedure. :) Tsaka depende siguro kung saan ka magpapa-iui tsaka sa fee ng doctor mo.

    1. Hi! Yup, 75 IU yung gonal F ko. I think you can also buy it in Mercury although I got mine from my OB. You can call mercury naman to ask if they have it in stock para di masayang yung lakad mo. 😉

  6. So around 30-40k ang IUI? Di aabot ng 100k?

  7. Yup. Hindi sya umabot sa 100k. That's based on the procedures and meds i had to take as mentioned sa blog. Might also depend with your OB if there are any other tests you need to take and yung PF din nya.

    1. Hi Hetch! From what I know isa lang fertility specialist here sa iloilo. His name is Dr. Rey Felicisimo Castillo. His clinic is @ Qualimed. Sched nya is mon-Sat except wednesdays. 11-2pm.

Better if u text his secretary first to make sure may clinic sya before u visit.

Once pa lang ako nag-pacheck up kasi busy sa work.
